Hey there! Welcome to my website.
This is Sri Devi; you can call me Es-dee.
And yes, since I write blogs and books — both fiction and non-fiction, I suppose you could call me an author. But truly? I’m more of a renunciate at heart.
My life… well… it was a dragon once, which I’ve since learned to tame — don’t mind me, that’s the fiction writer in me talking.
My spiritual quest began early, around age 9 or 10. But life had other plans for me first: family, work, and many riches (and lessons) of worldly existence.
Eventually, came the deeper dive into spirituality. At 32, I began spiritual training with a Sri Vidya expert. While I received valuable guidance, I ultimately walked my own path; led by dreams, experiences, and intuition.
There was no formal guru, no Deeksha, no traditional initiation. Instead, I relied on the power of mantras to awaken the Inner Guru, the guide within.
As this inner guide emerged, it naturally led me forward. Walking the path lit by this light within, I entered the path of Sri Vidya. Along the way, Zen also found its place in my practice.
Over time, surrender to the Divine arose on its own. That’s when I realized something simple yet profound: a physical guru — often idealized and hyped — isn’t always essential.
Thanks to Nature’s abundant grace and my own sincere efforts, I was blessed with a divine vision. This opened the door to many spiritual experiences, bringing with them inner peace and an ever-present sense of Divine Energy.
Today, having reached my spiritual destination, I feel calm, content, and confident. Challenges still arise, but I simply flow with life.
There’s no mad rush toward grand plans or lofty purposes anymore. Just to stay grounded, though, I share what I’ve learned through my writings.
Enough of the serious stuff… did you know?
✨ I hail from the lineage of Sage Bharadvaja. 🧘♂️
What does that mean?
Well, let’s just say my family tree is… interesting. 👀 It includes legends like Drona Acharya 🏹 — the warrior-sage who trained the Pandavas — and his son, Ashvatthama.
Yep, that Ashvatthama. 🐘🔥 The one with a… shall we say, complicated legacy. 😅
But here’s the fun part: Some scriptures say that “an Ashvatthama” (yes, one of us) will rise as the next Veda Vyasa. 👁️🗨️ So hey — maybe you’re reading the About page of some distant possibility. No pressure. 😇
Kidding. 😉
Now, if you’ll excuse me… I’ll get going and let my writings speak for themselves. ✨📚
Byeeee. 👋
