The yellow rays of glow,
they looked familiar,
like light passing through her,
though not meant for that space.
The orange kept spreading,
moving along the dense walls,
as if it would not stop,
as if there was nowhere to go.
Then, sounds ruptured the air,
white streaks cut through,
and in sheets of blue came grace,
cooling the golden ember.
Under an open sky, she looked up,
thanking the miraculous heavens,
as pink and violet spread above,
after rain had met the inferno.
